Our area of close proximity is comprised of three autanomous cities that all together are commonly considered Rochester. They are Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Twp. Rochester means "A collection of stones" and we are excited to discover God's best as "living stones" (I Peter 2:5) within our city. Nearing a population of 100,000 people, it is poised to thrive and lead within our tri-county area. We believe in serving our cities, not to fulfill an obligation, but to ultimately bring transformation. We're honored to contribute and serve thru various service projects and multiple city events downtown, supporting existing local businesses and our Generation ONE family bringing small businesses to the city.
On a greater scale, we are apart of Metro Detroit. There truly is an awakening happening in our region of 5.9 million people. It's a historic time of coming together and birthing new beginnings. After being devestated by riots and chaos in the late 60's, Detroit found it difficult to sustain it's strength as a major city in America. With the implosion of the auto industry and the economy, it only solitified Detroit as what time magazine called "an icon of the failed American City". But today with reconciliation of generations, cultures and people... there is a new story rising. One of hope, influence and love. With the Renaissance Center dominating our city scape, it becomes a declaration of new community, art, small business and the kingdom of God being established like never before. We're proud of our city and can't wait for you to experience this beautiful story. What was fully dead is now fully ready for life.
